Abu Dhabi, 29 June, 2021: The Emirates Metrology Institute (EMI) of the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) actively took part in the meetings held by the Gulf Association for Metrology (Gulfmet) during June 6-10 2021 on the latest developments, current and future inter-comparison programs, studies and research.

Saeed Al Muhairi, Executive Director of EMI said that during the meetings elections to select members of Gulfmet technical committees were also held. 
Members from EMI who were elected to the committees included Asmaa Mohammed Al Hosani as Chairman of the Gulf Technical Committee for Quality Systems in Metrology, Walid Yahya Al-Kalbani as Chairman of the Gulf Technical Committee on Electrical, Magnetic, Time and Frequency, and Shamsa Saleh Al-Kiyumi as Secretary of the Gulf Technical Committee on Electricity, Magnetism, Time and Frequency.
He said that all former heads and secretaries of the technical committees were also honored for their achievements during the meetings. Their achievements during their tenure led to the success of all technical committees, he added.
Newly elected members were also felicitated, wishing them success in achieving their goals and to enhance their reputation among other regional groupings. Al Muhairi highlighted the role played by EMI in supporting QCC’s public and private sector as well as global partners across various services.
