QCC takes part in International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition in Abu Dhabi

The expo, acclaimed as both a cultural and economic event, is also a successful nearly two decades old heritage festival that has placed Abu Dhabi on the map of specialized international exhibitions ever since its launch in 2003.  
The Central Testing Laboratory which represented QCC at the expo highlighted the testing and conformity services of the Council. A QCC business development team was also present at the expo to explore business opportunities, partnerships, and to promote the laboratory’s services.

The Council’s participation was part of its strategy to reinforce cooperation with government entities and the private sector with the goal to spread the culture of quality and enhance their capabilities, said His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Hassan Al-Maaini, Executive Director of the Central Testing Laboratory. 
The participation also aimed at supporting the UAE’s heritage as well as encourage Emirati entrepreneurs to pursue establishing innovative projects that would support sustainable development for future generations and instill a culture of positive change, he said.

For QCC, the exhibition was an opportunity to open new horizons of cooperation with the private sector and present the laboratory’s testing services, and create awareness on how it enhances operational efficiency and help comply with relevant specifications in Abu Dhabi.
Eng. Al-Maaini said both private and public sectors complement each other and are partners in supporting Abu Dhabi’s comprehensive development process to achieve a diversified and sustainable economy. He said the Council’s endeavor is to reinforce effective partnerships between the public and private sectors in Abu Dhabi for business continuity in critical economic sectors.
QCC sought to provide its testing services in priority sectors in line with the government directives, contributing to reduced implementation time and cost for services while improving work performance of partner entities, he said.

QCC in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority also presents workshops, holds events and specialized lectures by sector experts on topics of relevance to animals like camels, as well as humans. The subjects of these lectures include disease transmission, signs of exposure to common diseases and control, and in the case of the animals, advise livestock farmers on these subjects.

During the expo, Aida Al Hosani presented lectures on environmental health, focusing on the Council’s role in supporting environmental monitoring and control programs, aimed at maintaining the quality and safety of air, water, soil, natural resources and biodiversity. The Council’s role in enabling regulatory and executive authorities to take appropriate actions to develop new environmental legislation and amend the existing ones were also highlighted.
